Louis Schott has over 28 years of legal and business experience with 24 years in the oil and gas industry including a strong background in restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, public company regulations and requirements, title, energy finance, energy regulation and compliance under the rules of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (and their predecessors the Minerals Management Service), the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and multiple state energy agencies, business development, general negotiations and land. Mr. Schott’s recent restructuring experience includes restructurings within and outside of bankruptcy and both public, traded on the TSX and AMEX, and private entities. Mr. Schott is currently the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Camber Energy, Inc., a Nevada corporation listed on the NYSE American, where he is responsible on all functions of the Company. He has restructured all of the Company’s debts and guided the Company in regaining compliance with all the regulations of the NYSE American.
Mr. Schott successfully managed two mergers including the merger with Equal, a Canadian public company dually listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange and Equal’s subsequent privatization and redomestication.
Mr. Schott is a graduate of Tulane University with an MBA and a Juris Doctorate. Mr. Schott is also a non-practicing unlicensed Certified Public Accountant.
