The CAO UK&I position plays a critical role in the oversight of the regions activities, success of the UK is very much dependent upon best in class corporate governance, risk management and complexity reduction delivery by actively managing regulatory, people, process, infrastructure, incident, real estate and financial/non financial risks through a network of forums and people engagement.
- Successfully delivered programmes to remediate UK, European and US regulatory failures in relation to Governance, Systems, Controls and Resiliency of the UK franchise.
- Integral partner and champion of the risk framework strategy.
- Power of veto on deal selection.
- Oversight of near shore activities and senior director of the Ireland regulated entity.
- Managed the UK and Ireland Culture Reform programme - 6000 employees gathered in conversational groups to discuss the challenges and successes of our values and beliefs initiative.
- Built the forum, governance and controls framework to refresh the London Real Estate Campus. Successfully secured Management Board approval to build 4600 infrastructure seats in Canary Wharf and 800 front office seats in London’s Victoria and move our Investment Banking franchise to a new London headquarters.
- Oversight of 250m euro UK cost saving initiative.
